Joe Hurdle Top Dog Award; 2003-2004

Secretary of the National Field Trial Champion Association, Inc.
Dr. Rick Carlisle, announced on the evening of February 7, 2004
the winner of the coveted Joe H. Hurdle Top Dog Award. Bodacious
Boone, owned by Drs. Barry Gray, Alex Jacocks, Robert Rankin,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and handled by Allen Vincent gained a
total of 1770 points during the year of competition to win this
prestigious award.
Bodacious Boone was winner of the Border Open All-Age Classic,
the Oklahoma Open All-Age, Oklahoma Championship and the Kansas
Sunflower State Open All-Age. Truly a great year for this fine
performer, his owners and handler.
The winning owners received a one-of-a-kind sterling silver
hatpin handcrafted by David Kelley of Somerville, Tennessee and
forged from silver provided by Mr. Hurdle's daughters, Martha
McAlexander of Holly Springs, Mississippi, and Jo Ann Fortson of
Panama City, Florida. Martha was on hand to present the award.
