Carlisle, announced on the evening of February 11, 2006 the
winner of the coveted Joe H. Hurdle Top Dog Award. House's Snake
Bite,
owned by Tom Faller of Springfield, IL and handled
by Andy Daugherty gained a total of 1850 points during the year of
competition to win this prestigious award.
The winning owner received a one-of-a-kind sterling silver
hatpin handcrafted by David Kelley of Somerville, Tennessee and
forged from silver provided by Mr. Hurdle's daughters, Martha McAlexander of Holly Springs, Mississippi, and Jo Ann Fortson of
Panama City, Florida. Martha was on hand to present
the award.
