Whippoorwill Justified was named the 2016 National Champion the first year that he ran here, and is returning for his fifth run after being absent the past two years. He has re-qualified this year with a second place at the Lynn Taylor Open All-Age Classic (Carroll County). Patch is now nine years old. He was bred by Bob Wathall and is by National Champion Whippoorwill Wild Agin out of Sparkles. Ronnie Spears is the owner of this white, liver, and ticked pointer dog who will be handled by Larry Huffman.

Woodville's Yukon Cornelius
Woodville's Yukon Cornelius is this year's sole setter contestant. This rookie won the first leg of his qualifying at the West Tennessee Open All-Age last spring and the second at the National Free For All Championship. He was also runner-up at the Florida Championship and second place at the Sunshine (Fla) FTC Open All-Age. Rudy is a five year old, white, black, tan and ticked setter dog who was bred by Ross Callaway. He is by Caladen's DaVinci (formerly Merrit's Leo) out of A Tarheel Miss Bo. Mark McLean will handle Rudy for his owners Carl and Ashley Owens.
Whippoorwill Justified had an unproductive at 1:07 just east of Mary Scott Basin. He was picked up at 1:41 in the Morgan Field.
Woodville's Yukon Cornelius had a back at 1:07 and he had an unproductive at 2:12 west of the old Keegan house. He finished the 3 hours.

Quickmarksman's Dan
Quickmarksman's Dan first qualifying win came back in 2018 at the North Carolina Open All-Age, and he was this year's winner of the Kentucky Open Championship. Dan is a white, liver, and ticked pointer dog making his rookie appearance here. He is owned by Sam Starnes and Larry Earls. Larry was also his breeder. Dan is by Quickmarksman's Tony out of Witt's Snow Angel. Mike Hester will be handling this seven year old.

Stash The Cash
Stash The Cash originally qualified with wins at the Kentucky Lake Open All-Age and Southern Field Trial Championship, but he did not run last year. Cash has re-qualified with a placement at the Hoyle Eaton Memorial Open All-Age (formerly known as the Hell Creek, Miss, OAA). Cash is a white, liver, and ticked pointer dog who is owned by David Thompson and Tommy Loid. David was also his breeder and he is by Skyfall out of Miller's White Wall. Gary Lester will be handling this five year old rookie.
Quickmarksman's Dan had a stop to flight at :54 when 4 quail flew over him and an unproductive at 2:26 in a feed patch in Fason Bottom. Race shortened & Judges told Hester they would be glad to look at Dan if he wanted to continue, but he could not be placed as champion. Dan was picked up at 2:40.
Stash The Cash had a find at :47 in milo stubble in the Agronomy Unit north of Wolf Crossing. He had an unproductive at :53 - birds flushed wild a distance behind the dog and flushing attempt in front of the dog failed to produce feathers. An unfortunate incident caused Cash to become lame and he was picked up at 1:33

Coldwater Thunder
Coldwater Thunder, who was last year's champion, is returning for her fifth year. This eight year old; white, liver, and ticked pointer bitch has completed a three hour run every year that she has competed here. Though she didn't need to re-qualify, she garnered a runner-up at the Missouri Open Championship last spring. She is by Coldwater Warrior out of Thunder Bess, and was bred by Gary McKibben. Steve Hurdle will be handling Lulu for her cadre of owners; Doug Arthur, Billy Blackwell, and David and Rachel Russell

Miss Stylin Sue
Miss Stylin Sue is a six year old rookie contestant. This white and liver pointer bitch has qualified with first places at the Stillwater Open All-Age and the Pelican State Open All-Age. She has earned nine other placements in qualifying trials in her career. She was bred by Doug Arthur and was sired by Ransom and was out of Coldwater Snow. Sue is owned by Dr. Jim Mills and Steve Lightle, and will be handled by Allen Vincent.
Coldwater Thunder had a find at 1:30 in Milo stubble in National Championship South. She finished the 3 hours.
Miss Stylin Sue had a find at 1:07 just east of Mary Scott Basin. The Scout found her standing @ 2:42 in the Edward Corral. Birds flushed wild and were not officially seen. Sue finished the 3 hours as well.

Hendrix's Touch Up
Hendrix's Touch Up is a white and orange, five year old pointer dog making his rookie appearance this year having qualified with a first place at the Buck Tuck Open All-Age in 2019 and at the Lynn Taylor Open All-Age Classic (Carroll County). He took three runner-up titles between his qualifying wins, at the Alabama Championship and twice at the Southern Field Trial Championship. Hank was bred by David Hendricks and is by Pleasant Run Bob out of House's Wild Bess Again. He is owned by Guy and Burke Hendrix, and will be handled by Burke.

Dominators Rogue Rebel
Dominator's Rogue Rebel is a rookie contestant who qualified with first places at this year's Lee County (Georgia) Open All-Age and the 2020 American Quail Classic. Tip is a white, liver, and ticked pointer dog who is four years old. Bred by Scott Turner, he is by Just Watch out of Erin's Galway Girl. Tip is owned by Jack and Sarah Schwartz and will be handled by Jamie Daniels.
Hendrix's Touch Up had an unproductive at :36 on the south end of the Chute and a back at 1:10. He had a find at 2:08 north of Carlisle Corner and another find at 2:23 in a feed patch in Fason Bottom. At 2:36 he had an unproductive in a feed patch in the Supermarket field, took too many steps while his handler was flushing and was picked up.
Dominator's Rogue Rebel had an unproductive at :30 in Buster Graves Loop and another unproductive at 1:10 east of the Lawrence Smith Barn field and was picked up.

Touch's Malcolm Story returns for his third year, having completed a three hour run last year. Big has re-qualified having won the Western Open All-Age Championship and the Southeastern Championship, being named runner-up at the Tarheel Open Championship and the Masters Open Quail Championship, along with a first place at the Blackbelt (Ala) Open All-Age. This six year old, white, orange, and ticked pointer dog was bred by Keith Wright. He was sired by Touch's Knight Rider and his dam was Blackhawk's Sunflower. Mark McLean will handle Big for his owners Alex and Brianna Rickert.

Touch's Fire Away
Touch's Fire Away gained his first qualifying win back in 2019 at the Inola Open All-Age and completed his qualification with a first at the Missouri Open All-Age last spring. The recent winner of the Alabama Championship, earlier this fall Mike was named runner-up at the Mid-America Open Championship and champion at the Quail Championship Invitational. This rookie is days from his fifth birthday. Mike was bred by Keith Wright and was sired by House's Ring Of Fire out of Touch's Maswood Anne. Randy Anderson will handle this white, orange, and ticked pointer dog for his owners, Greg and Carmen Adams.

Miller's Speed Dial
Miller's Speed Dial, the 2020 National Champion did not run last year, so this will be his third year to compete. Joe re-qualified with a runner-up at the Kentucky Open All-Age Championship, and more recently won the Georgia Quail Championship. This six year old, white and orange pointer dog has completed the three hours in all of his previous runs here. Joe is by the National Champion Miller's Dialing In, out of Old Road Lou, and was bred by Wallace Sessions. He is owned and handled by Gary Lester.
Touch's Fire Away had an unproductive at :56 in the Water Truck field and another at 1:24 on Pine Hill. He was picked up following the 2nd unproductive.
Miller's Speed Dial had a find at :12 in the East Pasture Hay Field and another at :40 in the Chute. At 2:54 he had an unproductive in the Morgan Field. Speed Dial completed the 3 hours.

Dream Chaser will be making his rookie year run this year, although he qualified last year and was scratched from the competition. Chaser is a five year old, white, liver, and ticked pointer dog. He garnered two second places this past year to re-qualify, at the Cecil Proctor Open All-Age and the North Dakota Open All-Age Classic. Chaser was bred by David Hendricks, and is by Pleasant Run Bob out of House's Wild Bess Again. Andy Daugherty will be handling Chaser for Brad Calkins.
Game Wardon had a find at :15 in the Morgan Field. He was picked up at 1:32.

Westfall's True Grit returns for his fifth year having re-qualified with a first place at the Preston Trimble Memorial Open All-Age (formerly known as the Region 8 Championship Association OAA) and a win at the Mid-America Championship. Jack is a white, liver, and ticked pointer dog sired by Erin's Braveheart out of Westfall's Irish Bell. Jack's owner and breeder is Ryan Westfall. Andy Daugherty will be handling this six year old contestant.

Marques Armed Robber won the United States Open Championship to re-qualify for his third year. Sam is a seven year old, white liver, and ticked pointer dog. He has won two previous championships, both endurance stakes, the Southern Field Trial Championship and the National Free For All Championship. Bred by Jim Pendergest, he is sired by Reloaded and out of Dialed In. Robert (Lefty) Henry will be handling Sam for his owners John and Susan Ivester.
Westfall's True Grit had no bird work. He was picked up at :36.
Marques Armed Robber had a find at :38 on the Chute and an unproductive at 1:26 on Pine Hill. He was picked up at 2:32.

Touch's Gallatin Fire has re-qualified for his fourth year with a second place at the Dixie Open All-Age Classic, a first at the Robin Gates Quail Classic (formerly known as the Blue Grass Quail Classic), and a runner-up at the United States Open Championship. Bob is a six year old, white, orange, and ticked pointer dog bred by Keith Wright. He is by House's Ring Of Fire out of Touch's Sandy. Mark McLean will handle Bob for his owners Alex and Brianna Rickert.
Lowrider Frank had a find at :38 in Turner Pines food plot. He was lost at Lowlands Turn. Tracker was requested at 1:24.
Touch's Gallatin Fire had a find at :15 in Morgan Field soybean strip. He had an unproductive at 1:34 south of the Supermarket Field. At 1:50 he had a find in a soybean strip in Edward Scott South and at 1:53 pointed but birds were not seen officially. Fire had an uproductive at 2:27 in Edward Clark North and was picked up.

He competed the 3 hours.
